Over 40% YoY profitable growth across all regions globally was driven in part by the successful product launch and market demand for Ekahau Sidekick™. It is the first of its kind wearable Wi-Fi diagnostics and measurement hardware device. Additionally, significant gains in channel partner recruitment attributed to last year’s success.
The growth also includes a 25% increase in YoY new customer acquisitions with 30% of Fortune 500 companies now using Ekahau. More than 30 of those companies became customers in 2017. To match the strong market demand for its solutions Ekahau has added strategic leadership team members with extensive Wi-Fi industry expertise to help successfully execute on its global growth strategy.

Launch of Ekahau Sidekick™ – Ekahau Sidekick™ is a comprehensive wireless design device that allows for faster measurement of wireless networks and provides best-in-class Wi-Fi spectrum analysis. It makes measuring high quality Wi-Fi networks faster, more precise, and easier. “The market’s response to Ekahau Sidekick™ has been amazing. Release of Ekahau Site Survey & 3D Planner 9.0 – The software for Wi-Fi network capacity and coverage planning, introduced the all-new high-capacity planner that accounts for areas with higher and lower density of Wi-Fi client devices. Based on user requirements, the tool automatically creates high-capacity Wi-Fi network designs, including access point placement, channel optimization and disabling of unnecessary 2.4GHz radios. Ekahau Site Survey & Planner now also runs on macOS to support the increasing number of Mac users.
Global Channel Growth – Ekahau also expanded its global market footprint by signing strategic distributor and reseller partners across all regions. New partners include Ingram Micro, Infinigate, Dicker Data, DistriWAN, and Carahsoft Technology. As part of these agreements, partners will market, sell, and support Ekahau’s full product portfolio.
Strategic New Hires– With a focus on sustaining growth into 2018, Ekahau increased its global employee base by 45% by hiring Wi-Fi and cloud industry veterans in Product, Technical Sales Engineering, Training & Development, Marketing and Channel Sales.
